I second Brandon's suggestion. I've been able to host mod_wsgi stuff on Webfaction pretty easily.

Have you checked out WebFaction I think they have good python hosting. I've been using them for a little over a year now.

@i: SliceHost isn't the sort of target system I have in mind. With a SliceHost VPS you have full control of the system and it isn't a shared hosting configuration. Thus you can install whatever you want anyway, and so can already install and run mod_wsgi. What am looking at is shared hosting where web hosting provider controls everything and all you do is supply your specific Python web

Perhaps because, just like the user who says "wouldn't it be great if someone built software [x]", Graham is not interested in investing time in doing it, or maybe it just isn't his area of expertise.

I'm sure you said stuff like that at some point.

If it's not what you do and you're not interested in doing it yourself, it makes much more sense to let other people do it.
